Unfortunately, Arnold Schwarzenegger declined to be interviewed by director Christopher Bell for his steroid documentary “Bigger Stronger Faster*.” But “Bigger Stronger Faster” nonetheless has some great scenes featuring Arnold.

I had the opportunity to ask Chris Bell about Arnold Schwarzenegger in a recentinterview:

Arnold is an American hero. He’s a great success story. He can be an inspiration to anyone. He’s someone I’ve looked up to my whole life… But he’s on all these television talk shows and he’s saying we really need to do something about the drug testing in sports. He says it’s bad for the children and it sends the wrong message to the kids.

But then I turn the channel to the Arnold Classic where he’s handingVictor Martinez the trophy. He’s saying look at this guy – he’s so big, he’s so ripped, I’m so proud of him. He’s handing him the trophy but they didn’t test Victor Martinez [for steroids]… So here you have a guy who’s implicated in a steroid case, who got caught selling steroids to an undercover cop three years ago, he has done jail time for it and now he’s winning the Arnold Classic with Arnold is handing him the trophy…

I would love for Arnold to just stand up and say ‘hey look I did steroids and this is what it did for me – both good and bad.’ Just let me know. Talk to us. You’re the guy who did it. You did it for a long time. Now you’re in a position of power where you can speak about it. And speak about it honestly, honestly and openly.

I don’t want to hear what Governor Schwarzenegger has to say about it. I want to hear what Arnold has to say about it. Arnold the bodybuilder. Arnold who did it to enhance his performance and win competitions…

I wonder if anyone will ask Arnold Schwarzenegger to comment on this new steroid documentary. I expect it to be a popular topic of discussion at the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Contest next month in Columbus, Ohio.

Three-time champion, James Toney tested positive for two different types of steroids after his victory over Danny Batchelder, who also tested positive for two different types as well. This is the second time that Toney’s test have came back positive and it could mean a one-year suspension from boxing.

“Toney tested positive for boldenone and stanazolol, and Batchelder tested positive for stanazolol and oxandolone, Garcia said. If they don’t appeal, the boxers would be   suspended one year from the date of their fight.”

Despite both fighters testing positive, the California State Athletic Commission’s executive officer, Armando Garcia said that the fight will still count. Toney won the fight with a split decision and his impressive yet tainted record improved to 70-6-3 with 43 knockouts while Batchelder’s now stands at 25-5-1 with 12 knockouts.

The first time Toney tested for steroids was two years ago when he tested positive for nandrolone, and it cost him a victory over WBC heavyweight champion John Ruiz. That fight was ruled a “no-contest”.
